TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS


The Chemical Supplement For Liquid Fuels ( CSLF ) ’’ H E L I O S 1 ’’ is a complex multifunctional system. It comprises solvents, combustion improvers, emulsifier and anticaking components.
The CSLF facilitates and catalyses the process of combustion. It helps for the full burning out of the fuel, facilitating the ignition and increasing the oxygen content in the fuel environment.
It dissolves the paraffin, asphalt and other heavy hydrocarbons, comprising the fuel contents and facilitates their full burning out. This leads to reduction of soot emission and products of not full burning out.
The CSLF facilitates the fuel homogeneity and the emulsifying of the water content in the tank volume. The concomitant precipitates are dissolved easier in the fuel volume, thus eliminating its stratification.
It helps the fuel injection through the nozzles and facilitates its fine dispersion in the fuel combustion chamber. This accelerates the burning process.
The CSLF changes the fuel viscosity. This leads to decrease the darkening temperature ( the temperature of beginning of the fuel hardening ) and respectively of the stilling temperature, which reduces the necessary heat quantity for preliminary heating of the fuel.
The additive “HELIOS 1” prevents the high-temperature corrosion by elimination of sodic vanadates` effect. The process of their formation is inhibited and the vanadic ions of the fuel’s mineral part are connected as potassium complexes. They have higher melting temperatures and semi-liquid masses. The slag-formation is oppressed and insignificant deposits are separated easily.

Its application leads to the following REAL effects :

1. Improvement of the burning process;
2. Cleaning of the jets and fire-boxes from soot and caking;
3. Decreasing or removing the coking upon the jets;
4. Decreasing the temperature of preliminary heating of the fuel with 25 - 30 °C ;
5. Decreasing the temperature of darkening and freezing of the fuel;
6. Facilitates the exploitation of the fuel system;
7. Achievement of fuel economy from 2 to 4 %.
8. Prevention of the high-temperature corrosion.

All these parameters of change and improvement of the fuel apparatus are in direct correlation to its technical condition.

We recommend the proportion Supplement - Fuel, as it follows :

for MAZUT : 1 ( one ) liter for 3 tons of mazut

The supplement is preserved according to the respective fire - precaution rules, in a dry and airy space and in darkness.

It doesn’t have a toxic or cancerogenic influence over the people working with it.

The essence of the Chemical Supplement for Alloyance of Liquid Fuels is, that in case of a good mixing with mazut, it begins to dissolve the heavy hydrocarbons of mazut.
We recommend that the mixing of mazut and this supplement should begin with pouring the supplement into the mazut carrier ( tank-cars or autocisterns ) upon arrival at the unloading place, in the proportion pointed out by us :
FOR MAZUT : 1 ( one ) litre for 3 tons (mazut )
Using the mazut heating in the carrier and the tract of the mazut pump from the mazut carrier to the big reservoir, we consider that , initially, this way of mixing is sufficient for alloyance of the supplement with the mazut. The mixed quantity stays in the big reservoir and from there it is transferred to the daily consumption reservoir or to the fuel fire-boxes. Practically, this way of mixing is the easiest for relization, necessary and sufficient for the good mixing.
In the initial alloyance of the chemical supplement to mazut, in the first mazut carrier, a quantity is added, necessary for mazut unloaded in the big reservoir before the application of the product.
We recommend anincessant use of the supplement, so that the proportion is kept total effect.
In case of bad mazut or in winter conditions, we recommend that the proportion chemical supplement - mazut should vary between 1 litre to 2 tons ( mazut ).

The technical specification concerns to chemical supplement for alloyance of liquid fuels, which is complex multifunctional system, containing dissolvent, combustion improver, emulator and antiscale component.
The supplement makes easier and accelerates burning process of the mazut in the heating power stations and furnaces. It changes the fuel’s viscosity which leads to reduction of the solidification temperature of the fuel and decreases the necessary quantity of heat for preliminary heating of the fuel.

2. REGULATIONS OF ACCEPTANCE AND METHOD OF SAMPLING

According to Bulgarian State Standard (BSS) 6744-67 and ST of United Economic Mutual Aid (UEMA) 1248-78.

3. TESTING METHODS

3.1. Appearance
It determines visual in daylight.
3.2. Density in 20°C
According to ST of UEMA 1504-79, article 1.
3.3. Determination of a flame temperature in a covered crucible by the method of Penski-Martens.
According to BSS ISO 2719-93.
3.4. Fractional composition
According to BSS 16464-86, article 2.
It allows to determine the fractional composition with an apparatus for thermal gravimetric analysis, providing the same precision of the analysis.

4. TECHNICS OF SAFETY AND SANITARY HYGIENIC REQUIREMENTS


1. The production of CSLF “HELIOS - 1” belongs to the category A in fare safety, which is obvious from Record No 145/95, page 2, from RB of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – NIIPO Sofia (the flame temperature is 47°C).
The preservation of the ready production organizes in the accordance with the Rules for fare safety in the chemical industry (Sofia, 1971).
2. If the easily burning liquids are spilled, immediately clean with wood saw-dust and thoroughly wash with water.
3. Smoking and bringing in fire are forbidden in the workshop and in the storehouse!
4. In beginning fire put out with chemical foam, gas and powder fire-extinguishing components, carbon dioxide.
5. Workers are in working clothes and rubber gloves when they use the supplement “HELIOS - 1”.
6. If the product will fall on the skin, the touched spot washes thoroughly with water and soap. If it will fall on the eyes – the same procedure during 15 minutes.
